Addiction Services

Chestnut Ridge Center in partnership with faculty of the West Virginia University Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry offers a variety of services designed to meet the needs of adults and adolescents who are experiencing problems with alcohol and other drugs.

Adult Inpatient
Adults who are experiencing problems because of alcohol or drugs may enter a structured, smoke-free inpatient program with strong family participation. A safe detoxification, individualized treatment and family therapy are provided along with the 12-step self help support group of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotic Anonymous.

Partial Hospitalization
Adults needing a more intensive level of outpatient treatment for chemical dependency and not in need of inpatient hospitalization for medical detoxification may attend a daily program while continuing to live at home. This program emphasizes education about alcohol and other drugs, addiction, and the skills needed for recovery. The client must commit to being abstinent while in the program.

Intensive Outpatient
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides therapy, education, and medical treatment to drug / alcohol dependent individuals and their family members during early recovery who wish to continue work.  IOP meets three times a week.  Length of participation varies in duration from six (6) to 12 weeks.
