Who is included under funeral leave? How much/many days do I get off?
Full-time and part-time employees are eligible for up to 24 hours of paid time off. The employee will be paid funeral leave according to the number of hours they would normally be scheduled during the time absent from work in the case of a death in the employee's immediate family. Immediate family is defined as spouse, father, mother, child, grandchild, brother, sister, grandparents, mother-in-law and father-in-law, step-father, step-mother, step-child.

Employees may request time, unpaid or using PDO to attend the funeral of a brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandfather-in-law, grandmother-in-law, uncle, aunt, nephew, or niece. This time off will not be considered an occurrence of absence.
