Ryan Finkenbine, MD, is a graduate of Wittenberg University and the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina then received advanced training in forensic psychiatry at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.
After holding positions at hospitals in Alaska and South Carolina, he took an academic position at West Virginia University in Morgantown where he continues today as an Associate Professor.
As Director of both the Forensic Psychiatry Division and the Fellowship Training Program he conducts, coordinates and teaches all types of expert psychiatric witness cases. He has assessed or supervised over 400 criminal and civil forensic cases.
He has been an Adjunct Lecturer at the West Virginia College of Law. Dr. Finkenbine is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the West Virginia State Psychiatric and Medical Associations.
He is licensed in two states and is Board Certified in general and forensic psychiatry.
