Dr. Haut graduated from Rhodes College, received his masters from Murray State University and his Ph.D. from the University of North Dakota. He completed his postdoctoral training at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine.
Dr. Haut is the Chief Psychologist for the Department of Behavioral Medicine & Psychiatry and the Director of Postdoctoral Training in Clinical Neuropsychology.
He is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist and has a broad clinical practice that includes civil and criminal forensic neuropsychological evaluations.
His experience and research in the areas of human memory, brain injury and structural and functional neuroimaging have positioned him to conduct complete assessments of persons claiming emotional damages, workers' compensation, disability and fitness for duty. His skills in general psychology form the basis for assessment of criminal cases and allow for expert consultation to attorneys, judges and other evaluators.
He has been qualified to offer testimony in numerous cases throughout West Virginia.
