Free high-speed wireless Internet service for WVU Hospitals patients and visitors.
Please note that you are bound by the FriendsConnect Terms of Service at all times while accessing the FriendsConnect wireless service.
This will appear as your home page whenever you access the Internet through FriendsConnect. You should be able to access your favorite websites and web-based e-mail services from this page. FriendsConnect is not available in some parts of the hospital. To prevent interference with medical devices, personal computer use is not permitted in the intensive care and step-down units, or in other areas where it may be a hazard. Ask a nurse before logging on if you are unsure. Please do not use any electrical device in the hospital if it has any damage to the casing, wiring or plug.
The hospital’s system has an Internet filter, so not all websites will be available. If you have any difficulty with your Internet connection, please call Westco at 304-983-8600 for assistance.
FriendsConnect is supported by the Friends of WVU Hospitals, a group of volunteers who provide patients with many other helpful services. To learn more about the Friends visit The Friends Gift Shop online or visit us on the first floor.
