University Health Associates (UHA) is West Virginia's largest multi-specialty physician and dental group practice.
The mission of UHA is to support West Virginia University's Schools of Medicine and Dentistry and to improve the lives of our patients, physicians, dentists, students, and employees by maintaining an efficient, effective, and friendly academic and clinical practice environment.
UHA is the business name for the West Virginia University Medical Corporation and the West Virginia University Dental Corporation. Each is a private, not-for-profit corporation composed of faculty members of the WVU School of Medicine and School of Dentistry.
UHA provides support services that allow faculty members to practice their professions. We own and operate medical and dental offices and clinics, provide billing and collection services, purchase equipment and supplies, and perform other tasks. Our 900-plus employees include nurses, medical technologists, dental assistants, office staff and others essential to providing healthcare.
UHA staff work at the Physician Office Center, WVU Eye Institute, Health Sciences Center and Scott Avenue Operations, all of which are located in Morgantown, W.Va. (after July 1, add: , and in the Emergency Department at United Hospital Center, Clarksburg.) We also have satellite locations providing rural clinic support in Elkins, Harpers Ferry, Martinsburg, Ranson, Weston and Wheeling.
