The Musculoskeletal Research Center, located within the Department of Orthopedics, provides research and educational opportunities in the areas of soft and hard tissue mechanics, adult reconstruction, spine, sports medicine, trauma, hand and upper extremity and microsurgery.
The Center conducts in-vivo, in-vitro, and numerical simulation research in a modern environment. The laboratory faculty and staff of the Center are multidisciplinary, consisting of faculty from Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Biology, and Orthopedics. Health Sciences Center graduate students collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, bioengineers and visiting fellows on MS and PhD research topics.
The Center provides support to orthopedic residents in clinical and basic science research projects. The Center also provides facilities for multidisciplinary musculoskeletal research.
