Starting Monday, May 9, local food trucks and other temporary hot food vendors will be set up on the East-West Concourse between the Health Sciences Center and Ruby Memorial Hospital to serve lunch over the summer.
Vendors will serve lunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday from May 9-24. When the campus Farmers Market starts on Wednesday, May 25, the vendors will move to the Blanchette Rockefeller Neurosciences parking area on Wednesdays; they’ll be back in the East-West Concourse on other weekdays.
The lineup of vendors and food options includes:
- Appalachian Smoked BBQ – various barbecued meats and side dishes
- Garcia’s Latin Market – authentic Latin food featuring tacos
- The Greeks – gyros and souvlaki salads
There will be other local vendors periodically to offer more variety of local favorites.
