For Patients and Visitors

WVU Hospitals and UHA are Tobacco-free

Smoking is the number one cause of preventable death and disability. As a healthcare organization, we have an obligation to provide a healthy, tobacco-free environment for our patients, visitors, faculty, staff and students.

WVUH, UHA and all of our off-campus facilities are now tobacco-free. All buildings have been smoke free for many years; the new policy applies to all areas surrounding our buildings, including sidewalks and parking lots.

Other healthcare facilities in Morgantown -- Mon Health System, HealthSouth MountainView, and HealthWorks Rehab & Fitness -- have also gone tobacco-free.

People who use tobacco products and need assistance to quit should visit The Health Sciences Center Wellness Program to connect with tobacco cessation programs.
