You will remain in the hospital for approximately one to three days after your surgery. Appointments with your surgeon and dietitian will be scheduled about two weeks after discharge. Routine follow-up schedule after weight loss surgery includes office visits at two weeks, two months, six months, 1 year, and then annually after the surgery. These visits are essential to monitor your progress and to be sure that you are not having nutritional problems. Blood samples will be obtained to evaluate your nutritional status.
