West Virginia University's Surgical Weight Loss Program offers a team approach to the comprehensive treatment of severe obesity. We specialize in minimally invasive techniques (laparoscopic surgery) and also offer open surgery, depending on the needs of the individual.
Our team includes dietitians, clinical psychologists, physical therapists and others who work with each patient before, during, and after the surgery to ensure our patients receive the best care. A WVU plastic surgeon can remove the excess skin that typically remains after significant weight loss.
