The Mission of the Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program is to prevent unnecessary disease, disability and premature death due to cancer of the breast and/or cervix.
The key to reducing illness and death from these cancers is early detection, and timely follow-up treatment.
Routine screening can detect many cancers at early stages when more treatment options are available and the likelihood of survival is improved.
This program is offered by the West Virginia DHHR, Bureau for Public Health, and OMCH... a message from the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center of West Virginia University. The BCCSP is supported by cooperative agreement number U57/CCU306741 from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
