Vicki Chase
RN, MSN:
Vicki has 27 years of nursing experience. During her 22-year tenure at WVUH she has enjoyed many roles as manager and nurse clinician. Most recently she was Nurse Manager of 8E/Dialysis and OBSU. She is a diploma graduate from Ohio Valley School of Nursing in 1981. She completed her BSN from WVU School of Nursing in 1998 and her MSN from Waynesburg University in 2008.
Vicki resides in Morgantown with her husband Chuck. They have 3 daughters, Laticia, Alyssa and Maria and 2 sons, Chaz and Zach. She enjoys time with her family, tatting lace, quilting and riding motorcycles.
Kim Kime
MS, RNC
Kim has 31 years of nursing experience. She was Nurse Case Manager of the Dean Ornish Program for Reversing Heart Disease and Nurse Clinician for the Wellness Center for the last 4 years. She was a Cardiac Rehab nurse for 15 years at Fairmont General Hospital. Kim joined the Diabetes Education Center in April 2006. She has a BSN in Nursing, and a MS in Community Health Education. She is certified as a Cardiac Rehab Nurse. She is also is a Certified Health Education Specialist. Kim is a BLS and ACLS Instructor. Kim resides in Fairmont with her husband Bill. They have 2 sons, Matt and JJ. She enjoys baking, biking and running.
Mary "Cricket" Russell
MLT, ASCP, RN
Cricket is a registered nurse. She graduated in 1994 from Fairmont State College with an Associate of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technology. She worked as an MLT for 6 years before receiving her Nursing degree at Fairmont State College. Her first nursing position was at Ruby as a medical surgical nurse. She then worked for 5 years in the MICU/SICU. For the last 3 years she has been working in Cardiology in the Cath Lab. She is looking very forward to working in the Diabetes Education Center, after seeing the effects of poor glucose management for years. She is looking forward to working on the prevention end. Cricket Lives in Mannington with her husband Scott, children Mya, Cheslea, and Brooks. Cricket enjoys traveling, spending time in the pool, and whatever sport her children are currently participating in especially wrestling. Sarah Edwards
RD, LD
Sarah is a registered and licensed dietitian. She earned her degree in Human Nutrition and Foods from West Virginia University in 2005 and completed Dietetic Internship at Ruby Memorial Hospital in 2006. Her first job involved working with people on kidney dialysis. Sarah feels like she has found her niche at Ruby, working with people with diabetes. Using the preventative/therapeutic approach to diabetes nutrition education, Sarah feels that she has an impact on the lives of many people with diabetes. Sarah recently received a Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management.
Sarah lives in Morgantown with her husband Jeff, son Seth and loyal dog Moon Dog. Sarah enjoys entertaining and sporting events. Feel free to contact Sarah with question/concerns regarding diabetes and nutrition.
Connie Kyle
Staff Assistant
Connie has been the staff assistant for the Diabetes Education Center for 3 years. Prior to that, she was the staff assistant for Employee Health for about 3 years. Connie enjoys the interaction with patients and with the Educators in the DEC . She lives in the Bruceton Mills area where she enjoys the outdoors.
