Skull-base surgery — For patients with tumors in the difficult-to-reach areas of the brain, the department offers an advanced program in skull-base surgery, headed by a world-renowned expert who has pioneered new techniques and invented new instruments for this subspecialty. Tumors that were previously untreatable can be reached with some of these new techniques.
Stroke Center — WVU’s stroke Center has an emergency response team of neurosurgeons, neurologists, vascular surgeons, emergency medicine physicians, and radiologists available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to offer advance care for stroke.
