STAT Testing Service
STAT testing is available for a variety of tests offered through UML. Please contact the Client Services Department for listing of tests available on a STAT basis for your geographic area.
Reporting of Test Results
UML offers a variety of reporting options for clients:
UML offers same-day turn around time for many procedures, with most routine testing reported within 24 hours of specimen receipt in the laboratory.
Tissue pathology and cytopathology results typically are reported within 48–72 hours of specimen receipt in the anatomic pathology laboratory. Test results may be available by telephone prior to delivery of reports electronically or as hard copy. STAT test results and critically abnormal test results are automatically telephoned to the referring physician’s office or answering service. Any physician requesting the critically abnormal test results NOT be telephoned must sign an appropriate waiver form available through UML.
UML laboratory test reports provide appropriate reference ranges for each test performed, and abnormal test results are flagged for immediate recognition.
